Fernando Alonso has fittingly won an incident-packed Chinese grand prix to secure the championship double for Renault. On a day on which deposed champion Michael Schumacher crashed before the race and spun in a safety car period. He finished clear of Kimi's McLaren, with the other silver car, Juan Pablo Montoya, out of the race after running over a drain cover.
Giancarlo Fisichella was handed a drive through penalty for driving too slowly in pitlane, handing the last podium slot to Ralf Schumacher. Renault won the F1 constructors' battle by 9 points from second placed McClaren, so the second placed team will have to try better next year!
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. Sir Winston Churchill
