Hull City draw 1-1 away at Southampton!

It was a productive first ever visit to the St. Mary's Stadium for City as Kevin Ellison's 79th minute equaliser gave them a 1-1 draw against Southampton. Matt Oakley had put the home side ahead after 44 minutes but the Tigers dug deep in the second half and Ellison's leveller was no more than they deserved.

Peter Taylor made two changes to the side that drew with Millwall the last time out. A long clearance from Myhill was controlled by Fagan and he played Ellison in down the left side of the Saints area. The angle was tight but the substitute lashed a strike that beat Niemi, hit in the inside of the near post and ended up in the far corner of the net.

It was tremendous finish to the game and just reward for the Tigers' bravery in the face of some serious pressure against the ex-premiership team! So I just want to say come on you tigers!
