Championship newcomers Sheffield Wednesday and Hull had to settle for a point each from an entertaining Yorkshire derby at Hillsborough. The hosts took an early lead when on-loan Leon Best finished from close range on his home debut.
Nick Barmby levelled with a superb half-volley and Jason Price and Leon Cort had attempts cleared off the line. But it was Stuart Elliott who missed Hull's best chance when he somehow missed with the goal at his mercy.
