Hull 0 - Luton 1

Unfortunately, Steve Howard's late strike helped Luton maintain their excellent early-season form with a narrow win at Hull. I think that Hull where put off due to the early start required by Sky, but that is as they say football!

Even though the possesion throughout the match was about 50:50, the Hull team seemed to forget that they where supposed to defend and Howard rifled home a right-foot strike from inside the six-yard box, with only five minutes remaining. How many times have we seen that this season! Luton keeper Marlon Beresford saved from Stuart Green and Chris Brown, while Hull's Bo Myhill thwarted Dean Morgan and Carlos Edwards.

Hull's Nick Barmby and Luton's Ahmet Brkovic had first-half efforts ruled out for offside. Another disappointing result after two succesive promotion parties, but I honestly think Peter Taylor will have to think about changing a few more faces in the squad if we ever hope to be in the Premiership!
