McLaren's Juan Pablo Montoya won the Italian Grand Prix as Fernando Alonso extended his championship lead over Kimi Raikkonen by finishing second.
Michael Schumacher was philosophical after his 10th place in the Italian Grand Prix signalled the end of his five-year reign as world champion. "There is no point getting angry," said the German, who trails Fernando Alonso by 48 points with only 40 up for grabs.
The Ferrari star added: "We were much too slow and nowhere near where we want to be, but we have to live with it. "The championship was obviously lost a while ago, but we have had a lot of good years before this one."
