Thousands return to New Orleans!

Well I suppose it is good to see this evening that long traffic queues have formed on the approaches to suburban New Orleans as residents who fled Hurricane Katrina's floods return to inspect their homes. Engineers finally sealed one of the levees breached by the storm as rescuers sought survivors in the city.

President George W Bush has been in the region again, after finally finishing his very long hoilday! Wouldn't you have thought that if a disaster occured he could cut short his Summer vacation by a few days, but that is as they say George Bush! He left it mainly up to two ex-presidents his father and Clinton to launch a national disaster appeal. Mr Bush has also declared a state of emergency in 10 US states, thus enabling federal funds to be made available there to assist with the evacuees.

Anyway, thats enough political ranting for one evening, I hope my readership is well and the teachers are all enjoying there days back at School!
