Today I have been for a check up at the doctors and the Gym!

The weather today in Scarborough has been a bit damp, miserable and cold. I went to the doctors worked some more on revision for my exams in September, and chatted, maybe for too long to some of my coursemates!

However, I am quite pleased with myself for another reason I finally finished the first part of my IST revision for September which was good, and I can actually say I have achieved something today! Apart from this though the day has being rather slow, to be quite honest I am looking forward to my next holiday's, hope everyone else is doing OK! Will speak soon, probably tomorrow night, when I hope to have got some more of my work finished!

Tomorrow, I hope to go for a walk around Scarborough if the weather permits, but who knows and on Friday the whole of the MSc are going for a course night out, which should be good!

Football

Today, fun was had writing reports, listening to a talk on the Knowledge Transfer Partnership at the University of Hull and finally playing Football!

I learnt all about the DTI's Knowledge Transfer Partnership and how it functions at the University of Hull! Including the hugh benefits it can offer new graduates in getting a job and moving on in the world. I think this is well worth investigating further!

I also managed not to hurt myself whilst playing football which is good!

What a weekend!

This weekend I have been home to wonderful Hornsea, whilst at home I got a phonecall from Hamish Stout of Scouting 2007, to be told that I am on the web team for Eurojam and Scouting 2007.

Other than this it was a pretty uneventful weekend, apart from getting invited to a wedding! Now I am back in Scarborough and the work will resume, all good fun!

The weather is looking pretty miserable, at present, however I was outside yesterday and got quite wet with the sudden torrential downpoar!

At least we can continue to support Tim Henman at Wimbledon as he has not been knocked out yet!

Return to Hornsea

Missed a days posting, Oh Well! Yesterday, was an enjoyable day in Scarborough, however the rain towards the end of the day was kind of off putting! Today, I have come back to Hornsea to see my family and friends.

Whilst in Hornsea I have mainly being watching the television and London's part in the journey of the Olympic Flame which was good! Hopefully in 2012 the Olympics will be in London once again, good luck Steve Redgrave and the team!

Tonight I intend to go to the Pub to see some more of my Hornsea friends, all good fun!

What a night!

I watched Portugal tonight eventually overcome England on penalties to advance to the last four of UEFA EURO 2004™ after an enthralling quarter-final at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, with misses from David Beckham and Darius Vassell proving decisive in the shoot-out.

It's just a shame we never seem to do any good where penalties are concerned in a football tournement, remember Euro '96, France '98 e.t.c. Even David Beckham didn't look in particularly good form tonight and poor Wayne Rooney was taken off because he was injured, not good!

Anyway, enough about football today I have been mainly revising for my forthcoming exams in September at Hull Universities Centre for Internet Computing.

I am hoping to go home for the weekend, which should be good, it's a pity we didn't proceed further in the tournamant then I could have watched it at home with some of my Hornsea friends, anyway will have to enjoy something else instead, such as report writing, Oh Well!

Today it has been wet and cooler than previous days in Scarborough!

Today I have been mainly writing reports, looking at accomodation for next September in Scarborough and trying to work out what I am going to do this Summer, apart from revise!

I also watched the Euro 2004 qualifier between Germany (1) and the Czech Republic (2), and highlights of the match between Latvia (0) and Holland (3). Anyway I think I will just have to wait and see what the future holds, oh dear, now I sound like Mystic Meg

I thought I would also include a link on to my sidebar today to download Mozilla Firefox as I think this is a much faster and more useful browser than Internet Explorer, sorry Microsoft!

Tomorrow I will definetely be making my way to the Gym, for a little bit of exercise, and I must say work is really progressing now on the Scarborough sea defences.

Football

Today, I have being discussing my IST and IBIS exam marks with various tutors. Learning how to write the methodology for a succesful dissertation, and playing a game of football, where I stood in as referee! As the referee injured himself at the very start of the match, and could not continue.

The rain held off long enough for our football match to take place which was good news for us. I think according to the weather forecast it will rain heavily tomorrow, however.

Monday, June 21, 2004

Wayne Rooney sets up one and scores two as England beat Croatia 4-2 to reach the last eight at Euro 2004.

Tonight I have mainly being revising for my forthcoming exams in August, I have also being working on my dissertation and watching the football were England won, 4-2, even though some bits where quite nail biting, well done England! I didn't go to the pub as it would have being quite busy, judging by last weeks turn out!

Tomorrow I have a meeting with my supervisor to discuss revision techniques, and then the MSc cohort will play football on the field weather permitting!

Anyway good night everyone!

Today, I have predominately being working!

After having most of the day away from studying and at the cinema yesterday. I seriously needed to catch up with my work, which I spent the day doing and think I have nearly achieved it! Sorry for such a boring post but apart from a short walk in the countryside surrounding Scarborough to pay my paper's that is all I have to report!

Today, I went to the cinema again!

Well, today I have stayed in Scarborough and had quite a busy day of it! This morning I got up at 8a.m. did some reading and went to the other of Scarborough's cinemas the Plaza cinema, luckily they were not showing Harry Potter so I went to see The Day After Tomorrow, this was a good film in which a ice age is induced by weather pattern changes from the ocean's currents. All good fun and very realistic, maybe even quite a bit of the film might one day really happen. If the cinema had a website I would include a link but it doesn't!

Anyway, thats enough pessimism, hopefully tomorrow I will continue working on my revision. I am well aware that September isn't very far of now and will just have to wait and see how it goes!

Today I have been to the Gym, had a meeting & have also been on a short walk

Today has been a pretty slow day trying to get caught up with everything I should have done over the past few weeks.

However all is not lost as I am going to watch ITV1's coverage of the United States Grand Prix on Sunday which should be good, and will also give me a chance for a relax. Tonight I went for a short, wet walk around Scarborough.

Anyway will have to wait to see what tomorrow holds, goodnight everyone!

Well Done England!

Today, I have being generally revising as well as watching England win 3-0 over Switzerland, in the football, which was good! I still did not make it to the Gym, maybe tomorrow, I shall have to see what else needs to be done!

I also went for a short walk around Scarborough, I have been living here for a year and there are still places to visit! Anyway now I am going to watch ITV1's Fantasy Football.

Wednesday, June 16, 2004

Today I have been to the Cinema, tomorrow I am definitely going to the Gym!

Today I spent some more time revising, working on my dissertation, repairing my website and went to one of Scarborough cinema's for the first time!
To see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Tomorrow, I am definitely going to the Gym, however, with the weather being as nice as it has been I may not be able to resist going for another walk!

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

Had a kick around at University then went to watch the football!

Had a small role in a game of football at Hull University then went to watch Group C play in the European Championships on a television at my friends house!

I also did some more work towards my dissertation!

Monday, June 14, 2004

Watched the European championships!

Went to the public house on the night to watch a good football match, were Sweden thrashed Bulgaria 5-0.

During the day I completed yet more work on my Dissertation, all good fun, I think?

The weekend

This weekend I have been home to see some of my friends, before returning to University tomorrow to complete further work on my MSc! It was a shame England lost at football, but it was well played up to that point! There is still two group matches to go I suppose!

This evening!

This evening I returned to Hornsea to see some of my friends I had not seen in a while and also to do some shopping. I saw quite a few people, some people I had not seen since Christmas, and other people I had seen more recently. Overall, I had a good night at the Alexandra Public House in Hornsea! I am also quite pleased that I have got my cinema listing for Scarborough working, so I get weekly cinema listings for Scarborough!

Toolbars ??

Today I have spent some time playing about with Internet Explorer Toolbar's. I have now have installed Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar and MSN Toolbar, after playing with them all for a while in my opinion the Google toolbar is the best of the three due to it's integration with Blogger.

However, I was quite dismayed to find that none of these toolbars actually work with other browsers such as Mozilla 1.7, Mozilla Firefox 0.8 or Opera 7.5. In my opinion they should make compatible versions for these browsers and therefore make their products available to everyone, not just Internet Explorer users!

What happens if you run Linux and therefore cannot access Internet Explorer?? I have now found a version of the google toolbar for Mozilla located at
http://googlebar.mozdev.org/, it works with Mozilla 1.7, Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and Netscape 7.1, however it does not have blogger functionality!

Today I have mostly being reading!

This week I certainly do not feel as bad as I did last week after playing football, today I have been getting some more work done on my dissertation I have also being reading Computer Networks by Andrew.S.Tanenbaum, and generally increasing my background knowledge. I also attended a seminar by a Phd student I know, which was very interesting. The weather was nice once again so I went for another short walk around Scarborough! All good fun!

Worn out again!!

I am a little bit knackered after playing football today, with my University Friends! However, have not got the cramp in my leg I had last time, something must be going right!

Today, was another beautiful day in Scarborough and everything is going well? During summer I hope to get away camping but we will have to wait and see whether I have the time.

Have just started reading Apache,MySQL and PHP Weekend Crash Course by Steven.M.Schafer, which appears to be quite an interesting book with quite a useful website link!

I also meant to watch the transit of Venus across the sun, but unfortunately didn't have the time or any viewing apparatus!

On a totally seperate note I found the above link which I found quite amusing, enjoy!

Tonight I have been at the Gym!

Today was a bit of a hectic affair as you can guess by my late post! I started the day well, by getting on with Dissertation research at 9.30a.m. this morning and actually progressing well with my proposal. By the time 11.00a.m. came it was to hot to work on my computer, however I thought that rain was forecast late this afternoon, so I thought I could continue the work when it had cooled down to a reasonable temperature.

I then had a brainwave and made my way across to the air conditioned computer laboratories, somewhere to work that wasn't too hot & I got on with the work! I think I made some good progress as I spent all the afternoon reading and typing notes!

When I left the labs it was still too hot, so I decided to go to the Gym, see the link above! Hopefully the weather will be cooler tomorrow, as we are not in continental europe you know!

Anyway, overall I had a nice productive day and a visit to the Gym to keep my fitness level up, all good fun!

Now I am proceeding to bed!

Today I went for a walk on Scarborough cliff top!

With the weather being so nice once again, I decided to work from 8a.m. to mid-afternoon. I then spent some time further updating my Blog.

I now have a mood icon courtesy of imood.com . I also have gained a countdown to event utility courtesy of Sharon Gartenberg's Date Countdown and a I believe in the BBC icon courtesy of Bloggerheads.com all making my sidebar look a little less empty!

I then went for a walk around Scarborough,

Good Night!

Not home this weekend!

This weekend I decided not to go home as I had quite a lot of work to do in Scarborough. I have had quite a productive time so far this weekend, and even had a relatively relaxed afternoon in a pub in Scarborough with some University friends, watching the England vs. Iceland match, I have to say the match was fairly better than the last England display. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon especially when the weather is so nice. It is always good to have a few hours rest every few days!! Tomorrow I intend to complete more work towards my Dissertation, hopefully it won't be quite so warm for working in front of a computer tomorrow! However, for the rest of this evening I intend to read the Daily Telegraph in bed, good night everyone!

Friday, June 04, 2004

Spent the evening updating my web presence!

Today I have spent yet more time working on my MSc dissertation before deciding that I needed a break and therefore this evening I have spent time updating the website specified in the title above, as well as updating my http://cafe.cic.hull.ac.uk/~icm03ak/ website!

I think I am making progress with my Dissertation, however I still don't think I'll be going on any more rallies till September at the earliest! I was a bit dismayed to here Tim Henman had been knocked out of the French Open, what a blow!

Anyway, hope everyone else is well, don't forget to post comments if you want to!

Thursday, June 03, 2004

Does everyone like my new updated blog, that now works on Mozilla under Linux!

Have been working on my MSc Dissertation. So, with working on that all day I get very little time to post, hence the late posting of previous entries!

However I did make my Blog site work under Mozilla for Redhat Linux, after a lot of fiddling with code & HTML!

Hope all my readers are well!

Mostly Working!

Today I have mostly being reading for my dissertation, trying not to forget to eat and generally running round! I meant to make it to the Gym, as our football match was called off this week but I never got there, there's always tommorow I suppose!

I will get there one day this week as I am determined! Hopefully the weather will stay the same as today, relatively warm but dull, I suppose its better than rain. Because, when, it rains it really does rain here in Sunny Scarborough!

All Finished

Today I have been getting some work done, I must say it is very quiet here at Hull University now the undergraduates have finished for this semester!

Tuesday, June 01, 2004

Good Night!

I've finally finished all my work and I am therefore proceeding to bed, good night everyone!
